Women in Management Africa (WIMA) is a registered NGO in Tanzania with a mission to improve gender balance and diversity on boards and in leadership roles in line with the international benchmark for sustainable business practices, and Goals number 5 and 10 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030). WIMA was founded as an initiative to address the challenge of lower female presentation in leadership and senior management levels in the workplace. As a thriving network of women, we aim to advance women into global leaders through leadership training, mentorship programs, education, annual awards, and gender diversity research.
